Art is such a personal endeavor that I want to let you know who I am as well as where I've been and what I've done. My life has been guided by causes, in particular as it effects children and animals. I have taken as my slogan the title song from Karen & Richard Carpenter, "Bless the Beasts and the Children". That line goes on to say "... for in this world they have no voice, they have no choice"

Self serving personal pro nouns often give rise to skepticism. So, how to present ones' self. Professional colleagues and personal friends across both of my careers have written:

"Mr. Whittecar first came to our attention in his guise as a nature photographer, one of the very best I have personally ever been privy to. This is more than a man to be trusted, this is a man you can count on to strive and succeed."
(Douglas R. Eldridge, Assistant Director of Marketing, LEICA USA.)

"Don was very concerned about the welfare of the wolves and this was the primary motivating factor behind his work. He had a strong desire to make a difference and help. I would say that this was one of the most important qualities that set him off from other people. My involvement with Don has lasted longer than this project in that his bottom line is, making a difference, and that lasts well beyond the time spent here."
(Douglas W. Smith Ph.D., Leader, Yellowstone Wolf Project)

"Don is a man of great compassion, a caring man, and a disciplined man. He has a strong code of ethics and values which are obvious in all his actions, be it in friendship or in bsiness."
(Barbara P.Wyatt, former President, Childhelp U.S.A., Scottsdale, AZ)

"He is the type of person who continually increases staff morale and the concept of teamwork among a fairly diverse group of people. He is very enthusiastic about his work and fosters a strong sense of communication that enhances the common good."
(Richard J. Noeth Ph.D., Educational Testing Service, Princeton, NJ)
