I offer no esoteric or ethereal explanations of my work. Quite simply, I do it because it pleases me. Hopefully this results in works that are pleasing to you, the consumer, its ultimate critic.

Attempting to portray what I see in a uniquely creative way requires that I initially view it uniquely. John Muir stated, "The best pace at which to view nature is a snails pace." In moving slowly I also look more closely.

In my photographs, which are the resource for their painting and printmaking counterparts, I strive to bring attention to the minute and emphasize its' part in the greater whole in such a way that its image stands on its own merits as a piece of fine art. Thus the name Taiowa Images*.

Those of you who purchase my work deserve my best. I strive to provide that excellence in each piece I do and will allow only those images that meet that standard to be available for purchase.

* Taiowa (Tuh-ee-oh-wuh) is a Hopi concept defined as, "all things are part of an incomprehensible totality that always was and always will be".
