As a student pursuing an MFA in painting, I began to study nature closely, very closely. My images sought to portray their subject matter as though observing it through a microscope. Rocks in a creek bed, the bark of a tree, veins in a leaf, among others, provided inspiration.

My techniques are unconventional and produce highly unique images.
